Course Objective

The course focuses on old age and the related theories of aging and also the effects of changes in this life period.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to recognize basic concepts of old age and aging
2   To be able to explain contemporary theories of aging
3   To be able to explain physical, psychological and cognitive changes in old age period
4   To be able to get information about the relations between aging, memory and cognitive problems
5   To be able to understand the effects of health behavior and lifestyles
6   To be able to clarify the process of bereavement and death
