Course Objective

Answer the main questions of the theoretical and practical philosophy of the 17th century based on original sources.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows the preconditions of the 17th century.
2   Knows the realationship of the philosophy of the 17th century to those philosophical systems that predate the 17th century.
3   Knows the main schools of Rationalism and their problems.
4   Knows the main schools of Empirism and their problems.
5   Knows the schools that aim at a synthesis in the 17th century.
