Course Objective

It is aimed to teach physiotherapy assessment and treatment program of congenital or developmental pediatric orthopedic problems by examining the pathomechanics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   By the end of the module students will be able to define child development.
2   By the end of the module students will be able to define pediatric orthopedic pathologies.
3   By the end of the module students will be able to assess a child with orthopedic problems.
4   By the end of the module students will be able to compose physiotherapy and rehabilitation program of a child with orthopedic problems.
5   By the end of the module students will be able to practice physiotherapy and rehabilitation program to a child with orthopedic problems.

2 Assessment of a child with orthopaedic problems
3 Planning of the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program of a child with orthopaedic problems
4 Physiotherapy in coxa vara-valga, Slipped capital femoral epiphysis
5 Physiotherapy in leg calve perthes
6 Physiotherapy in developmental hip dysplasia
7 Physiotherapy in congenital tibia vara, genu varum-valgum,
8 Os good schaletter and other paratendonitis
9 Physiotherapy in pediatric rheumatologic disease
10 Physiotherapy in foot pathologies (pes planovalgus, pes ekinovarus, pes cavus)
11 Physiotherapy in brachial injuries
12 Physiotherapy in torticollis, cervikal costa, clippel feil syndrome
13 Physiotherapy in Scheurmann's kyphosis
14 Physiotherapy in scoliosis
