Course Objective

It is aimed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills on identification, classification, assessment and physiotherapy treatment of hand pathologies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   By the end of the module students will be able to define anatomy and biomechanics of wrist-hand
2   By the end of the module students will be able to perform functional analysis.
3   By the end of the module students will be able to perform sensory assessment of hand.
4   By the end of the module students will be able to practice hand pathologic specific treatment program
5   By the end of the module students will be able to practice different hand pathologic specific rehabilitation methods.

6 Peripheral nerve injury and physiotherapy
7 Traumatic hand, replantation physiotherapy
8 Stiff hand rehabilitation
9 Sensory re-education, desensitization
10 Rheumatoid hand and physiotherapy
11 Physiotherapy for burned hand
12 Reflex sympathetic dystrophy and physiotherapy, Stiff hand and physiotherapy
13 Arthrodesis of wrist, carpal instability and physiotherapy
14 Carpal tunnel syndrome and physiotherapy
