Course Objective

This course aims to provide an understanding of the transportation concept in logistics and supply chain management field

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   understand the transportation system concept and the role of transportation in the logistics and supply chain management system and the main components in the transportation system
2   understand characteristics of transportation modes and the main components of these transport modes
3   evaluate the main literature in transportation systems
4   understand the different methodologies employed in transport literature
5   explain the roles of main actors in transportation systems
