Course Objective

Analysis of published scientific studies in the field of transport policies, evaluate to national and international perspective, to make small-scale scientific research, to gain ability to interpret the developments in the world in the field of transport policies. Aims to create awareness in terms of policies and strategies, about Transportation policies in the European Union and Turkey in terms of modes of transport and sustainable transport with a view to a holistic assessment of the individual as well as international institutions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to discuss Transport-oriented strategies to solve problems and identify relevant policy measures and their effects
2   to compare and analyze the interests and roles of private and public institutions related with transport policies
3   to understand the national and international approaches to transport policies
4   to analyze transport policies in Turkey and European Union.
5   To understand the developments in the world in the field of transport policies
