Course Objective

The objective of this course is to help the students to understand the relationship between risk and return, To comprehend the long-term investment decisions, To highlight the cost of capital, capital structure issues, and business failures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand risk and return relationship 2   Evaluate capital investment projects of a corporation through basic capital 3   Determine the cost of equity and debt to calculate the weighted average cost of 4   Identify the optimal capital structure through financial leverage, break-even 5   Examine the types and major causes of business failure
