Course Objective

To understand the actual theories and mechanisms about common work-related musculoskeletal injuries; to analyse the risks of work-related musculoskeletal injuries; to develop prevention strategies for work-related musculoskeletal injuries according to health promotion and disease prevention, and to gain knowledge and practice skills about physiotherapy techniques used after injuries

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Sorts epidemiology, risk factors and mechanisms of work-related musculoskeletal disorders
2   Sorts and applies protection techniques to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders
3   Analyses and evaluates workplace ergonomically
4   Sorts work-related injuries seen in columna vertebralis, and its physiotherapy; composes and applies patient-specific physiotherapy program
5   Sorts work-related injuries seen in lower extremity, and its physiotherapy; composes and applies patient-specific physiotherapy program
6   Knows criteria for return to work, makes ergonomic arrangements in workplace
