Course Objective

To improve knowledge and ability of the students on health in different work fields and related concepts, role of the physiotherapists, preventative and therapeutic approaches in common work related injuries, assessment and treatment methods in occupational rehabilitation, work analyze, ergonomics, education, architectural barriers and regulations

1   Explains health in different work fields and related concepts, role of the physiotherapists in the field
2   Knows preventative and therapeutic approaches in common industrial injuries
3   Knows assessment and treatment methods in occupational rehabilitation
4   Explains work analyze, ergonomics, education, architectural barriers and regulations
5   Synthesises the collected informations and performs verbal and visual presentations

5 Work life and its effect on health- Altitude, noise, electromagnetic field
6 Risks and preventative approaches in industry
7 Evaluation of repetitive strain injuries in vocational rehabilitation (pre-employment evaluation, evaluation of working capacity during work, functional capacity evaluation)
8 Assessment methods in occupational rehabilitation (Injury and return to work assessment, disability evaluation)
9 Improving working capacity in occupational rehabilitation, Fitnes programs, education, ergonomics
10 On-site therapy programs, pain management, return to work in occupational rehabilitation
11 Job modification/accomodation and assistive technology
12 Work analyze, preventative/regulating approaches, architectural barriers and regulations (hospitals and health centers)
13 Work analyze, preventative/regulating approaches, architectural barriers and regulations (office and open space)
