Course Objective

Aims to give information students about common pathologies of hear, speak and balance disorders.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students can define terminologies, basic concepts and definitions about hear, speak and balance at the end of this course.
2   Students can define classifications, formations, findings, types and treatment methods of hear loss, speak and balance disorders at the end of this course.
3   Students can define pathologies of hear loss and balance disorders commonly encountered by physiotherapists at the end of this course.
4   Students can learn rehabilitation methods of balance disorders commonly encountered by physiotherapists at the end of this course.
5   Students can practise rehabilitation methods of balance disorders commonly encountered by physiotherapists at the end of this course.

1 Entrance of vestibular system
2 Structures are responciple for ensuring that the balance
3 Anatomy of vestibular system anatomy and physiologic basis of peripheral vestibular system, anatomy and physiologic basis of central vestibular system
4 Assessment of peripheral and central vestibular system
5 Dizziness and balance disorders
6 Approach to the patient with dizziness and balance disorders
7 Performed test in balance disorders
8 Recording eye movements ( ENG test, VNG test), positional tests and walking tests
9 Vestibuler rehabiliattion
10 Structures are responsible for providing hearing and speaking and their functions
11 Measuring of hearing
12 Diseases causing hearing disorders in childhood
13 Diseases causing hearing disorders in adults
14 Speaking disorders and treatment
