Course Objective

Understand the etiology and pathology, study illness symptoms and secondary problems which may occur, identify problem based evaluation and treatment principles in pathologies of back and neck .

1   Know functional anatomy of spine column
2   Know the symptoms and etiology of spine pathologies
3   Know the physiotherapy assessment methods of spine pathologies
4   Know the specific exercises application in spine pathologies
5   Knows the physiotherapy applications in congenital and acquired spine

1 Introduction in lesson
2 Functional anatomy in lomber column and sacroiliac joint : Lumbar Vertebra, Facet Joints, Intervertebral disc, Muscles, Ligaments, Normal movement, Innervations of the Vertebral Column
3 Lumber Mechanics of motion: Coupled Motion, Lumbopelvic Rhythm. Sensoriomotor Control of the Lumbar Spine, Functional anatomy of thorosic column
4 Functional anatomy of cervical and lomber vertebrae: Upper cervical column, lower cervical vertebrae of cervical vertebra and kinematic and clinic instability
5 Inflammatory conditions: Romatoid Artirit, Ankylosing Spondylitis
6 Servical dejeneratif disease: diskojenik neck pain ,myelopaty, radikulopaty ets..spinal Stenosis, spondylolisthesis, Non-spesific back-neck pain
7 Lumbar Disc disease : Disc degeneration , Disc herniation (Disc degeneration pathogenesis, vertebral instability vs.)
8 Physiotherapy Assessment in back pain
