Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine concepts such as art, craft, culture, creativity, etc. in aesthetic context and to reveal the changes of art and aesthetic concepts in the history process and the reflection of social life.

1   Define the concepts of art, craft and aesthetics.
2   Explain the scientific bases of esthetic.
3   Explain the importance and necessity of art education.
4   Evaluate the aesthetics of everyday life in the historical process.
5   Explain art and aesthetic theories.

7 Turkish-Islamic art and aesthetics.
8 Art in the pre-modern period.
9 Modern and post-modern art.
10 Art and social context.
11 The position of arts and craftsmen in the process of social change.
12 Contemporary art understandings and aesthetics.
