Course Objective

The aim of this course is to educate individuals who know the concepts of formal curriculum and extracurriculum activities/ hidden curriculum concepts; hidden curriculum-related approaches; cognitive and affective domain learning and hidden curriculum; school as a ritual place; school ceremonies as extracurriculum activities at school; the importance and management of social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities in school; place and importance of hidden curriculum in values education; extracurricular activities (memorial, celebration, meeting, graduation etc.) in terms of value education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know formal curriculum and extracurricular activities/ hidden curriculum
2   To explain hidden curriculum -related approaches.
3   To explain hidden curriculum with cognitive and affective domain learning.
4   To know the importance of school ceremonies as extracurricular activities in the school.
5   To follow the management of social, cultural, sports and artistic activities in school.
6   To apply for extracurricular activities (memorial, celebration, meeting, graduation etc.) in terms of value education.
