Course Objective

To recognize and determine physical, thermal, mechanical properties of rocks, and concrete. Also be able to know the relevant standards and tests

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To take a specimens from rock and to prepare for the rock mechanics test.
2   To recognize metarial properties of rocks
3   To apply the the physical, thermal, mechanical test of rock mechanics in laboratory.
4   To recognize metarial properties of concrete.
5   To apply the the physical, thermal, mechanical test of concrete in laboratory.
6   To evaluate the results of the test and prepare a report

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation, discussion and field observation format. Lecture gives subject and students discuss and prepare some presentation and all students discuss each other. Additionally all the tests apply in laboratory
