Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to teach the ceramic lining of the walls of buildings, stairs, banks, recreation spaces and roads. Also installation of the sanitary wares will be taught.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define ceramic coating types, Project reading and grading.
2   To identify grout coating method, the tools and building materials for it.
3   To describe anchor assembly, anchor elements and fitting types.
4   To apply Methods of laying brick lining the base with sand.
5   To apply installation of sanitary ware.
6   To calculate the installation costs of all methods.

2 Grout-coating method, surface recognition processes.
3 Hand tools and bulding materials for grout-coating method, cost calculation.
4 Application of grout-coating method.
5 Coating methods of walls and stairs.
6 Application and study of details.
7 Anchored ceramic coatings, anchoring elements, fitting methods.
8 Mid-term exam
9 Anchored installation methods.
10 Sand-laying methods, criteria and patterns of laying brick base.
11 Installation of sanitary wares.
12 Installation of sanitary wares.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The theoretical lectures of the course will be taught in the classroom and the applications of the theoretical issues will be performed as installation of ceramics. The instructor will discuss the theoretical and applications of the course for better understanding.
