Course Objective

The aim of the course is teaching installation techniques for natural Stones in buildings. It is aimed to make it durable the learned by applications. Modern methods as trimmed method, achorage method and sand lay out method in coating buildings by natural stones will be presented. Pre-treatments for these methods and building materials will be introduced.

1   To know natural Stone coating types, to read projects, to measure and to do grading methods
2   To define trimmed method and hand tools and building materials in trimmed method
3   To realize achorage method, elements of anchorage, their functions and advantage of system
4   To define sand lay out method and Stone flor criterias
5   To calculate the cost for stone, labour and required materials in coating methods
6   To apply achorage and trimmed method

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be taught in the classroom in the form of theoretical lectures and practice in the field in line with theoretical knowledge. The lecturer will explain visually and orally on the board, create a discussion environment with the students in the form of questions and answers, and a practice will be made in the field in order to understand the method described.
