Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain practical and theoretical information about the basic application methods, the pretreatment, the coloration and the finishing processes.

1   To be able to understand the importance and the objective of textile finishing
2   To be able to learn the concepts and the general terms in textile finishing
3   To be able to define the pretreatment, the coloration, the finishing and the machines used during these processes
4   To be able to determine the effects of textile finishing processes on the final product

6 Dyeing processes and machines for textile products; mechanisms. Dyestuffs. Dyeing of synthetic fibers and fiber blends
7 Principles and methods of printing. Printing methods and machines. Printing processes of cellulose, wool, and synthetic-based products
8 Mid-Term Exam
