Course Objective

The objective of this course is to give information on ethics and moral concepts; to teach the principles of occupational ethics; and to give extensive information on the concept of occupational ethics and its basics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to knowledge on ethics, to be able to understand the difference between ethics and moral.
2   Being able to knowledge on the rules and system of ethics.
3   Being able to understand which acts can be non-ethical, and which are contrary to occupational ethics.
4   Being able to perceive the principles of occupational ethics and to be able to change behaviors.
5   Being able to develop behaviors and working principles appropriate for the occupational ethics.

1 Introduction: Introduction and conceptual explanation of the concept of ethics
2 Theoretical assessment of the concept of moral, and discussion of differences and similarities between ethics and morals
3 Ethics-Society relationship: Place of ethics and morals within the social order rules that ensures social order
4 Ethic rules and non-ethic behaviors
5 Approaches of ethics systems. Studies on personal ethics, social contract ethics, ethics of rule etc.
6 Relationship between social/cultural degeneration and non-ethical behaviors
7 Midterm Exam
8 Midterm Exam
9 The concept of occupational ethics, relationship between occupation-morals
10 Ethical and non-ethical issues in occupational life
11 Occupational degeneration; Organizational, administrative and occupational ethics and degeneration
12 Non-ethical behaviors in the occupational areas of the students
13 Non-ethical discussions in different occupations
14 Effects of conditions, which are suitable for occupational ethics, on person, business, and workplace
