Course Objective

This course is designed to present the scope and processes of agro-industrial enterprises to students who aim to become future expert/manager candidates or who have established their own business in different sectors such as agriculture, service, industry and in different institutions such as public, private and NGOs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To realize the role and importance of agriculture-based industry in the country's economy and development.
2   To understand the general characteristics of agricultural-based industrial enterprises.
3   Being able to examine and valuate the main sub-sectors of the agriculture-based industry.
4   Being able to recognize agriculture-based specialized organized industrial zones and their developments in Türkiye.
5   Being able to familiarize the Industry 4.0/5.0 technology applications/practices in agricultural-based industrial enterprises.

2 Scope of the agricultural sector, main concepts and basic principles; General characteristics of Agro-industry enterprises (their classification, elements that distinguish agricultural enterprises from industrial enterprises)
