Course Objective

It is aimed to create a theoretical infrastructure by teaching students the basic concepts of finance, the relationship between accounting and finance, the time value of money, risk and return concepts in financial assets, earnings per share, average cost of capital, break-even point and their analysis in a systematic framework.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to identify fundamental concepts of finance and financial management
2   Being able to estimate current and future time value of money.
3   Being able to prepare corporate budget and cash budget
4   Being able to understand financial techniques (leasing-factoring-forfaiting-barter etc.)
5   Being able to prepare proforma balance sheet and income statement
