Course Objective

It is aimed to create a theoretical infrastructure by teaching students the basic concepts of finance, the relationship between accounting and finance, the time value of money, risk and return concepts in financial assets, earnings per share, average cost of capital, break-even point and their analysis in a systematic framework.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to explain the basic concepts related to finance and the basic principles of finance
2   Ability to calculate EBIT/EPS AND WAC
3   Ability to understand business budgets and prepare a cash budget
4   Ability to understand financial techniques (leasing-factoring-forfaitin-barter etc.)
5   Ability to prepare proforma balance sheet and income statement.
