Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain competences related to exploration, mining and processing of all kinds of jewelry gem stone in the jewelry industry to students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain definitions and concepts related to exploration and mining of gemstone.
2   Be able to recognize mineral deposit geology based on mineralogy and petrography .
3   Be able to sort the searching methods of ore, the raw material, and gemstone.
4   Be able to explain the operations of mining according to the regulation of mining law.
5   Be able to understand the importance of regulation and improvement of the environment after the mining activities.
