Course Objective

To perform the tests to determine the properties of bituminous binders and bituminous mixtures and to realize the basic principles of fluid mechanics by applying to the model test equipments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to identify the properties of bituminous binders.
2   To be able to calculate for bitumen mixture.
3   To be able to sort applications of bituminous mixture.
4   To be able to express infiltration and permeability properties.
5   To be able to make measurements of flow velocity and flow.
6   To be able to explain the reasons for the load loss in pipes.
