Course Objective

Teaching of object oriented programming. To be able to understand relationship with real world object and object oriented programming object and giving the understanding of encapsulation, inheritence, polymorphism concepts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the steps of objects oriented programming, match with real world objects.
2   To be able to apply encapsulation, inheritance and polynorphism concepts.
3   To be able to solve the problems using subroutines.
4   To be able to use exception cases.
5   To be able to use function, class templates.
6   To be able to apply object oriented programming to electric communication and automation subjects.

1 Introduction to programming, data types, expressions, and statements.
2 Usage of operators, arithmetical operations, functions: inline, overloading, template,static variables, reference variables.
3 Classes and Data abstraction.
4 Operator overloading.
5 Inheritance
6 Interfaces, abstract classes, sub-type and super-type relationships I
7 Interfaces, abstract classes, sub-type and super-type relationships II
8 Midterms.
9 Virtual functions, polymorphism
10 Input / Output.
11 Templates.
12 Exception handling.
13 File processing.
14 Usage of automation objects, serial port applications, internet applications.
15 General review of topics before the final exam
