This course aims teaching 20th century textile pattern with respect to that time aspects paralel with industrial revolution, contemporary art movements, fashion and technological developments

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be able to establish relationship between technological development and textile design,
2   know art-crafts-design concepts
3   know industrial design, designer concepts and formation process,
4   know transition process from traditional production to industrial production,
5   be able to comprehend period and design properties of textile patterns for the period after industria revolution period and be able to use these information in design practices,
6   be able to comprehend industrial textile design and production process and will be able to follow innovations.

. Lecturer shall convey the course by using course notes which are prepared from several sources and support these with visual presentations. Research subject is given to student and oral and written expression is expected from student.
