Course Objective

Colour and light concepts, colour theories, colour perception and psychology, color-material, color-place, color-form relationship, factors that are influencing color selection in design and similar subjects will be conveyed to students and make students earn analytical and critical thinking about selecting and using color in textile.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to know factors that are influencing color selection in design,
2   to be able to have analytical and critical thinking about using and selection color in textile,
3   to be able to establish relationship between color-form,
4   to be able to establish relationship between color-place,
5   to be able to establish relationship between color-product,
6   to make scientific research about color and be able to present in classroom,
7   to be able to make color studies in designs with respect to different textile product groups,
8   to be able to follow innovations regarded with colors in textile.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lecturer will convey research subjects, and sources for the course to the student in first week of academic year. Students visually and/or orally present their research subject in seminar form in last 4 weeks of acsademic year.
