Course Objective

Adding the leather clothes into design collections. Being able to market leather clothing designs to world designers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Introduction of leather, its texture, learning the basic processing knowledge,
2   Learning the importance of leather in fashion design,
3   Learning the kinds and the importance of apparel leather in fashion design,
4   Learning the terminology and the materials of leather ready-to-wear
5   Learning the pattern of leather ready-to-wear

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The evaluation will be according to the ability of students to analyse on given models, use pattern parts of the model correctly, conformity of the cut patterns on the cloth model.

Evaluations will be made through the workshops, the file created by the assignments, and the midterm exam.

Assessment Criteria

Analysis to be made by the student on the given models,
Removing the mold parts of the model correctly and healthily,
Scoring will be made based on whether the clothing model corresponds exactly to the patterns produced.

1. There is an 80 % obligation in attendance to lesson.
2. All plagiarism attempts and actions would end up in disciplinary punishment
3. Nonattendance to the lesson, not performing the required responsibilities will not be accepted.
