Course Objective

The aims of this course is to enable the use of computer and computer programmes during the design process by learning the most widely used design programmes in the sector.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to make drawings of specified product groups by Adobe Illustrator Programme
2   Analysis of technical details of selected models with the help of the programme,
3   Preparation of technical and artistic designs by using the programme,
4   To be able to use collection sheets,
5   To be able to perform required analysis for transition periods of designs into the production,
6   To be able to prepare the technical drawing concept which includes the products of the collection

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Introduction, general information, informing about the necessary materials for the course and the teaching method
2 Searching the sources like magazine, newspaper etc. and each students trying to perform the analysis different models
3 Using the programmes by performing the sketches for specified design groups with Adobe Illustrator Programme
4 Studying the technical details of specified modals by using the programme
5 Evaluation of the sketches for assigned projects
6 Preparation of technical and artistic sketches by using the both programmes
7 Preparation of technical and artistic sketches by using the both programmes
8 Using the programmes by performing the sketches for specified design groups with Adobe Illustrator Programme for second project
9 Studying the technical details of specified modals by using the programme
10 Evaluation of the first sketches for assigned projects
11 Preparation of technical and artistic sketches by using the both programmes
12 Checking the presentation sheets of both project on computer, completing the deficiencies, checking the printout samples
13 Completing the presentation sheets and matching them with the materials
14 Collecting the assignments
