Course Objective

This course will focus on defining, planning and managing international business project. This project is an excellent opportunity to analyze an international business or management issue in depth as an independent research project. Students, working in teams, will prepare a project. Within this project real companies and situations will be selected and students will suggest policies to solve problems or take advantage of promising opportunities.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Lecture
Lectures will cover theoretical basis of project management and class discussions will be carried out over the case studies. Cases will be handled within class activities, but, a report will be prepared for each case as a home activity.

2. Groupwork
According to the number of students, small groups are constructed, and each group will manage a project to solve a real business problem or situation of a company.

3. Presentations
Students will apply preseantation techniques into the project presentation using their effective oral communication skills.

1. Case Assignments
There will be few particular cases, and these cases will be analyzed in each phase of project management.
2. Group Project
There will be just one term project that is handled in a group. The group project will be evaluated through context, detail level, report context and format, and presentation
effort.

Assessment Criteria

The learner will actively participate to project preparation period by contributing in/out-class discussions, having responsibility to prepare specific parts of the project
The learner present the project in written format based on project guideline which will be given by instructor.
The learner will apply presentation techniques into project presentation using their effective oral communication skills.

In this course overall project evaluation will be used for assessment.

Course Policies and Rules

1. Plagiarism of any type will result in disciplinary action.
2. Attending at least 70 percent of lectures is mandatory.
3. All assignments should be submitted on time. Otherwise will not be accepted.
