Course Objective

In this course, process will be examined starting from dating back about 5000 years from now and until glass bead making technique begins with M. Ö. 75-50 years invention of blowing and applications will be held the glass-making techniques in this process (beads, jewelry, small objects and cast glass-mosaic; softening, melting, full cast).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know glass design and production in the glass development history and have its technical information about historical glass development
2   To have sufficient technical knowledge and equipment transition from design to production
3   To use and apply technical hardwares of glass design needs correctly,
4   To Identify professional terminology and concepts
5   To transform information derived from the education specialized field to competence area

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Faculty member transfer usage of glass as a material or art material in the process of its discovery as a material up the blowing. In the meantime, it is mentioned different application examples and objectives and methods of these application examples. Project works directed to produce contemporary art objects as well as research of technique with the use of these techniques needs for the Project.
