Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to teach the students what kind of materials the traditional carpets and plain weavings have been made of, by which technique and by which loom; to have them weave by using carpet, rug and plain weavings techniques, and have them gain problem solving ability for possible problems in the course of design, theory and application, and have them make original designs. |

In this course, the lecturer s notes and resource researches will be used. Application works will be realized in the workshop under the supervision of the lecturer. |

Evaluation criteria is made up of the students researches on the subject, project preparation and presentation and their success at design works. |
Assessment Criteria |
The students projects and assignments will be evaluated out of 100. Attendance will be effective on the pass grade by 20 %. |

80 % attendance is compulsory. Workshop studies are nominal. Especially, designs and applications have to be completed in a lesson s time. |
