Course Objective

The aim of this course is to make decorative weaving design through tapestry, rug, light rug ( cicim ), sumac, zili and carpet weaving techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   convey their knowledge on tapestry, rug, cicim, sumac, zili and carpet techniques,
2   make a decorative weaving design,
3   fix the weaving techniques which are suitable for their designs,
4   make a choice on the loom by which they can convert the designs into application,
5   make a choice on the materials which are suitable for their designs.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In this course, we discuss the preparation process of a decorative weaving design by making use of different weaving techniques and their advantages. The students are supposed to make a presentation to the other students after their translation is checked.
