Course Objective

Understanding of cell organization and function. Teaching the biomolecules playing roles in living organisms and their functions. The metabolic pathways and their regulations are also included by the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To get know about history of molecular medicine.
2   Describes the molecular structure and organization of cells
3   To get know about molecular components (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids) and chemistry of the cell.
4   Outlines basic metabolic processes.
5   Explains the processes of genetic information transfer (replication/transcription/translation/ the formation of functional protein)
6   To have general knowledge about basic molecular and cellular mechanisms related to diseases.
7   To be able to get and discuss the articles related subject areas.
