Course Objective

Recent studies highlightened the molecular mechanisms of the diseases in detail. This resulted in developing new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases. The aim of this course is to study the diseases systemically and to discuss the molecular mechanisms of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis, and to analyse the molecular targets for the diagnosis and to evaluate new therapy trends.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define and recall the mechanisms of the diseases and molecular approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases
2   Describe the theoretical basis of the mechanisms of the diseases and molecular approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases
3   Analyse the relationship between mechanisms of the diseases and molecular approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases
4   Discuss the mechanisms of the diseases and molecular approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases (Ex: Gene therapy)
5   Evaluate the materials design which makes diagnosis and treatment more effective and compare the advantages of these materials with traditional systems
6   Design new molecular approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases by using the mechanisms of the diseases
