Course Objective |
The aim of this course is inform the students about the history of the art emerged in Anatolia after the acceptance of Islam, and to discuss the concept of Traditional Turkish Arts in historical and today's context, and to assess artistic works related to it. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
In this course, when and to what extent the Oriental arts take place in the researches and literature of art history; the scope of today s and recent history's studies related to Oriental arts will be introduced. These studies will primarily be related to Islamic arts and Turkish arts . The stylistic features of Turkish Arts after Islam, and the mentality of the period, and visual presentations will be given in chronological order. The domestic and overseas museums, libraries and private collections related to the Turkish Arts will be introduced, and the students will be informed of the research techniques in these organizations. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
In this course, in which theoretical information is given and the related visual presentations are made by the instructor, attendance is important. The students will be observed in terms of their answers to the questions in the lessons and their participation in the discussions at the end of each lesson. The student s theoretical and visual references which he will prepare throughout the educational term will also be taken into consideration. |
Assessment Criteria |
The mid-term and the final exams are evaluated out of 100. 70% attendance is compulsory. |

After the theoretical information is conveyed to the students both orally and written, lecture notes are given to them. 80% attendance is compulsory. The students are informed of the following lesson and are expected to read something related to the subject. |
