Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to instruct the students the techniques used for making machine-woven carpets, and to have them make machine-woven carpet designs suitable for production, location or style. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
At the beginning of the term, the instructor usually instructs about the machine-woven carpets production. The students research the techniquees in detail as home work. After the research, the students are asked to submit their homework. Also, if possible, an excursion is organized to a factory producing machine-woven carpets so as to learn visually. |

Course evaluation is based on 50% project, 20% course attendance, 30% homework and presentation grades. |
Assessment Criteria |
For homework and projects, the students are supposed to edit their studies by reaching a lot of resources as much as possible and show that they have comprehend the subject and are able to explain it to others. |
