Course Objective

Students are informed of their project about documentation of tiles and restitution studies, especially conservation studies of tiles in architectural surface, as both protection, conservation principles, awareness of conservation and photography, delineation of damage detection.

1   Make the documentation as the professional responsibility and ethical consciousness
2   Have a technical knowledge and equipped for the protection studies
3   Use the technology and scientific sources for documentation
4   . Explain production process of the tiles that covers architectural surfaces

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Students will be given a mid-term and a final exam concerning the subjects given theoretical. Furthermore, they will make a project to show the restitution methods. The pass grade will be determined by the midterm, final exam and restitution grades.

Assessment Criteria

The midterm, the restitution studies and the final exam will be evaluated out of 100; the 20% of the midterm, the 30% of the restitution project and the 30% of the final exam will determine the pass grade. The evaluation of the two exam questions will be given to the students.

Course Policies and Rules

Students who come from after starting time of the course, even taken to the course, will be evaluated as participant a half-time. At the end of each lecture topics will be covered in the next lesson and the students are offered as a subject of their studies. The course begins before the first presentation of the studies.
