Course Objective

It is to increase the students' practice of working on the programs by doing basic application studies that will help the students with the designs made in carpet, rugs, fabrics, tiles and other branches of traditional arts on a pixel-based program.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   draw motifs by a pixel-based program, and make some applications by these motifs
2   make drawings in accordance with the fixed sizes by using a pixel-based program
3   Ability to fix basic photo faults.
4   make fitting practices suitable for Carpet-Rug, Fabric and Tile projects on a pixel-based program
5   apply the practices which will realize the designs ideally and timely.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In the course, the lecturer provides basic photography, photo editing applications, motif drawing and composition creation, scaled work, dressing examples, and helps students to increase their practice in computer programs.

Assessment is based on 40% midterm exam, 60% final exam and makeup exam.

The students will be evaluated by their skills to use the knowledge and practices correctly and to finish the work timely.

The students who come to class 15 minutes late won t be accepted into the class and will be considered absent.
