Course Objective

Gaining knowledge on assesment of air pollution causes as sulphurdioxide, sulphuric acid and other sulphates, poisoning gases (carbonmonoxide, nitrogen dioxide, acrolein ), heavy metals in drinking water. Evaluation of methods of analysis of environmental toxic substances and limit values.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe quality standards of environment
2   To be able to evaluate contaminants and toxic substances in air, water and soil.
3   To be able to describe toxicologic problems and their harmful effects to the living organisms in the environment.
4   To be able to evaluate the legal regulations related to environmental toxins
