Course Objective

Strategic Management is designed to give students the opportunity to study administrative processes under conditions of uncertainty including an integrating analysis applied to all fields of business. Special emphasis is given to policy determination at the overall management level. Thus, strategic management is concerned with the behavior of firms rather than individual human behavior within firms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discuss strategic management at the global level.
2   Develop steps of effectively design and implement organizational strategies.
3   Evaluate the degree to which a properly formulated and implemented strategy will provide a firm with a sustainable competitive advantage
4   Develop oral/written communication skills; articulate and defend his/her position
5   Develop and enhance the essential interpersonal skills to be an effective team member
