Course Objective

This elective course discusses some of the leading classic and contemporary theories, concepts and debates on Asian politics and society in depth.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain an in depth understanding of the political, economic, and social history of Asia.
2   To analyze the current problems and issues facing the Asian countries and people.
3   To gain an in depth understanding of the political culture in various Asian countries.
4   To get a better sense of the role that the Asian countries play in contemporary world politics and economy.
