Course Objective

Objective of the Course: aims to provide complete thinking of design phenomenon as a textile designer and to support designer to produce solutions beginning from preparation of collection to presentation of the product.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lecturer conveys the course by using course notes that are prepared from several sources and visual presentations. Project theme is researched in visual and written way, and materials which will be source for design will be selected. Designs for productions will be formed after sketch stage after that some of the designs will be transformed into product by using textile techniques and methods in workshop conditions. Any kind of idea is expressed without any prejudice and occurrence of new ideas is provided for each student by participation of class during design process.
Applications
Lecturer takes note of experimental applications which increases the creativity of students during sesign production stage. In addition to this, lecturer has an attitude which is focused on solutions for the problems which can occur in production.

Explanations regarded with Evaluation Methods: Scoring at course evaluatiın method shall be performed according to creativity in design, discovery, innovative approach, being parallel with selected origin point, appropriateness of designs with selected product group, appropriateness of material, techniques at transition form design to production, appropriateness of product with design and applicability at mass production. Assignment and presentaitpn shall be included in evaluation
