Course Objective

This class aims to teach the concept of collection, the phases of prepearing a collection, transition to multi-product from single product and the techniques that is required to provide the combination between the products.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Choose a target group and make researches to make a difference for the collection that will be prapeared.
2   To be able to make model, pattern, colour and fabric combinations related to the chosen product group.
3   To be able to support it with production techniques.
4   To be able to determine presentation techniques.
5   Have the knowledge to produce the collection that is prapeared as ready-made clothing.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 evaluation will be carried out over the preperation of the collections as project considering the choosen target and product group.
2 Giving all details about creating a collection
3 Introducing and explaining target line and value to create a collection
4 Explaining research methods of creating a collection up to the choosen target line
5 To determine difference for creating a collection and drawing sketches to use difference
6 To determine difference for creating a collection and drawing sketches to use difference
7 Picking up primay pattern from the collection sketches.
8 To identify of colour, pattern, fabric and sewing techniques will be used.
9 Examination
10 Study draping to produce one of the patterns.
11 Preparing pattern and sewing design that created by draping
12 To setup information about technical drawing, fabric, label, appliance etc. for to selected design
13 To creating a file to present and produce for all designs
14 Collecting homeworks
