Course Objective

To investigate the cultural origins of cinema in terms of myths, rituals, fairy tales, archetypes and human behavior in terms of emotional and mental aspects. The narrative reaching up to today's cinema as repeating forms. To investigate the conditions under which new forms appear in classical narrative structures, genre cinema, cinemas of particular regions and independent cinema narrations by continuing the old theme.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Evaluating the cultural origins of cinema,
2   The narrative aspect and transfer of the elements of fairy tales, myths, rituals, archetypes,
3   The ways in which the elements of fairy tales, myths, rituals and archetypes appear as a theme in cinema,
4   Investigation of human behaviors, emotions, mental states to reach the cinema as story and character,
