Course Objective

Upon completing this course, the students will be able to understand the word structure of the medical terms related to the basic systems of the human body, the reading of the letters, prefix and suffixes; will acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to distinguish, pronounce, write and use medical terms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They know how to read Latin letters and voices.
2   Can define word structure, root concept and suffixes.
3   They can know and use some types of terms, some general abbreviations and symbols.
4   Describe the anatomical planes and axes of the human body, joint movements.
5   Knows commonly used terms of normal human anatomical system and organs, tissues and senses.
