Course Objective

To gain the necessary knowledge about used material types and properties of biomaterials, tissue-material interactions, simulated environment and animal studies. Provide students with interdisciplinary knowledge about biodegradable and non-degradable polymers of soft and hard tissue engineering applications and providing information about drug delivery studies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Biological and Materials Engineering, a joint intersection of biomaterials related experimental material preparation, characterization and application stages including research and synthesize and practical ability of the results of material proposed
2   Biomaterials, classification, characterization and application to establish the structure-property relationships and interpret issues
3   Information technology / advantage to have the ability to access information from the library
4   Gain the ability to make oral presentations and Report writing.
5   Develop skills in biomaterials development about professional and ethical responsibility
6   The ability of the individual and teamwork skills
