Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with definiton, evolution, methods, types, causes and objectives of modern terrorism via both theories and case studies. The course will provide an understanding on national, regional and international dimensions of terrorism, its impacts on international security and states attempts to fight with terrorism.

1   Understanding theories and examining case studies in order to define terrorism
2   Assessing political and social dimensions of terrorism in order to identify its causes and objectives
3   Focusing on case studies in order to understand the impacts of terrorism on international security
4   Acquire skills in presentations and article writing
