Course Objective

Providing ability of understanding of basic algorithms, problem solution structures, designing the algoritms to solve problems and writing code using algorithms to the students

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand steps of programming.
2   To be able to understand input and output of the program.
3   To be able to design flow chart and the algorithm of the problem.
4   To be able to use the loop and comparison structures.
5   To be able to use integer, character, string, pointer variables.
6   To be able to solve the problems using subroutines.
7   To be able to create files related with program results.

1 Introduction to programming environment, program-memory-cpu relationship, programming tools
2 Information input,output, keeping the values in variables in memory, usage of variables and constants.
3 Usage of operators, arithmetical operations.
4 Flow charts and algorithms, introduction of programming libraries and usage of related functions.
5 Learning of loop and decison structures.
6 Learning of loop and decison structures.

9 Dividing the programs into subroutines and writing subroutines.
