Course Objective

In the era, when motion picture used in interdisciplinary artistic applications changes often, the aim is to introduce students to post-processing motion picture techniques. The aim is to introduce students to computer technology and soft wares that they can use for applying to creative projects in various medias and forms. The aim is to provide the usage of computer programs used in this field (Adobe CC, Final Cut and Da Vinci Resolve).

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 1. Technological improvements: Camera, photograph machine, computer softwares.
2 2. Technological improvements: Softwares, Adobe CC Applications, Final Cut.
3 3. Differences between picture and motion picture and shooting knowledge.
4 4. What fiction techniques and edit are Describing fiction and editing and its short history. Introducing to usage and concepts as plan, scene, sequence, axis, scale, angle.
5 5. Assessment of edit techniques through various movie examples.
6 6. Narrative usage of light and camera. Comparing photography to video.
7 7. Assessment of Adobe CC applications, Da Vinci Resolve and Final Cut programs on computer operating system.
8 8. Using Adobe CC applications, Da Vinci Resolve and Final Cut programs.
9 9. What is picture and motion picture editing Using the logic of working with layers, editing tools, transitions, effects and its variations, effect interface.
10 10. Basic color correction, audio editing, audio effects, converting photograph and video formats.
11 11. Fiction techniques, keyboard shortcuts and forming interface order, adding motion picture and music piece, creating short videos.
12 12. Practice week. After the eleven week education, editing motion pictures on computers, practicing on continuing the story in a video with stable pictures or motion pictures.
13 13. Uploading short videos to internet and file sharing.
14 14. Watching and assessment of students work.
