Course Objective

To become competent at painting, to be able to develop personal projects, to be able to form art compositions with various materials.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Designation of the semester plan and the general frame of the works to be made. Preliminary discussion about the projects.
2 Evaluation of personal projects, examination of the relationship between painting and photography.
3 Evaluation of personal projects, examination of the possibilities of transformation of photographic image into a painting.
4 Evaluation of personal projects, examination of the conditions when an image takes on a meaning.
5 Evaluation of personal projects, evaluation of the possibilities of expression of portrait and human body.
6 Evaluation of personal projects, evaluation of fantasy and fiction elements in contemporary painting.
7 Evaluation of personal projects, evaluation on the possibilities of pure abstract, abstraction and the elements that lead to an abstract expression in painting.
8 Evaluation of personal projects, utilization of color as an abstract form of expression.
9 Evaluation of personal projects, utilization of design elements in painting.
10 Evaluation of personal projects, evaluation on the power of minimalism and reduction in painting.
11 Evaluation of personal projects, the effect of digital images on the perception of painting.
12 Evaluation of personal projects, an evaluation of the dangers of trends in art.
13 Evaluation of personal projects, an evaluation on the necessity of political narratives in art.
14 Evaluation of personal projects, final evaluation.
